 Right after Holly stated digitizing, a lady contacted her about digitizing a logo for her.  Holly asked what the logo was and she said a music staff with words on it. 

That sounded simple enough, so the lady sent Holly the artwork.  Once the design was done, Holly sent it to her.  That's when the fun began...  :-)

The lady said that it was nicely done, but she really needed some additional words on the staff that she had forgotten to mention. Holly added the extra words for her at no charge.

Then she said she needed the staff to include a couple music symbols that weren't in the original artwork.  Holly added them at no additional chage.

Then she said it needed another...

Well you get the idea... 

At that point, Holly had spent about 8 hours digitizing and test sewing the design and it's revisions.  It was time to say STOP!


If you are going to do custom digitizing then you will have to learn to get written orders spelling out EXACTLY what your customer wants and what YOU will deliver. 

Set limits and price your work accordingly.
