A GREAT Question!

First... thank you Nancy in NM for asking this question with the new year about to start!
"When updates occur with the Generations Software, what is the typial cost for an upgrade?"
One of the GREAT things about Generations is that they do NOT nickel and dime their customers constantly. I know why you ask that question because Holly owns several other digitizing programs like xxxxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxx, (and probably others I can't think of) and they all have a constant stream of "updates" that they charge anywhere from $300 to $1,000 for when they are released.
Generations doesn't do that.
They don't charge for updates!
Most of the so-called "updates" that are added to software are really "evolutionary" changes required to keep up with changes in the operating system. For example, when Microsoft came out with Vista, most of the other companies saw it as an opportunity to sell users an "upgrade" with a sales pitch like this... "Our NEW version will work with Vista". Generations simply released a free update you could download from their website. Same thing happened when Windows-7 came out.
There may come a time when Generations charges for an update but in 10 years it hasn't happened yet. :-) If it does happen, my guess would be that it would be a "revolutionary" change in the software rather than an "evolutionary" change.
When they came out with two new modules about 3 or 4 years ago, you had the option of adding them for a nominal fee (like $100 each) or not adding them if you didn't want them. One module added a monogramming tool and the other one added additional choices for exporting designs.
