Hard Drives...
Saturday at lunchtime I started the process of replacing the hard drive in my laptop. About 18 hours later on Sunday morning I finished. For a geek like me... 18 hours without my computer was torture! LOL
My hard drive needed to be replaced and I had to copy everything from my old drive to the new one. THAT can sure take some time out of your day!
Today I'm back online and can send out the newsletter as well as add some videos to the YouCanDigitize site and take care of other things that require a computer. Hope I don't have to do that chore again any time soon. Holly's went through a similar process a month or two ago when I replaced HER hard drives, so I have my fingers crossed that both computers will be good for a long time.
By the way...
When was the last time YOU made a backup of your hard drive? Just a reminder here to do it. And if you don't know how to make a backup, don't just wait for something bad to happen... ask for help in getting it done.
We all grew up with photo albums or maybe old shoeboxes full of family photos. Those days are GONE! You photos now are on some hard drive and THOSE can not be replaced so don't neglect making backups just because you don't know how!
