The sun is coming up over the Santa Rosa Sound in front of my window. Looks like another beautiful day is starting. We will spend some time with family and friends today and we couldn't ask for a prettier day for that.
Holly is back to moving around almost normally again and that's pretty amazing considering how she felt just a couple weeks ago. For those who are new readers, she has had back problems off and on since last October complicated by bursitis. Certain things aggravate the problem like sitting in a car for hours on end or flying long distances. So naturally, she had a 12 hour plane flight in October, a return trip in November, two 18 hour car rides in December and two more in February.
Amazingly, she is doing much better now after several visits to our chiropractor, lots of ice to relieve the inflammation, electro-stimulation, and what we both feel may have been the tipping point that she started in February, a large daily dosage of antioxidants.
Apparently, antioxidents absorb "free radicals" in the body, which are the underlying cause of inflammation. Since bursitis IS inflammation, she was willing to try the antioxidants and THAT seems to have fixed the problem finally.
We are thankful for the fast results since she had bursitis in her elbow years ago and it took months to heal. Yeah antioxidants! And thanks to our friends who have continued to inquire about her progress
