... of the pitfalls that can occur when first joining the embroidery hobby. One of our long-time members (Laura) called to chat and we talked about the newbies at her embroidery club and the things they were saying, not saying, assuming, and in some cases, asking questions about.
There were people who didn't know anything about stabilizers, people who were using the wrong thread, people buying unauthorized designs, and so on.
If you know someone who is just starting out, please tell them about ATW. It's a place they can learn about embroidery quickly and at the same time start their design collection off to a bang.
If I had to pick just one thing to make sure people know about if nothing else gets through, it would be to understand that copyrights. See our ATW website for details if you are not already familiar with the issue as it pertains to embroidery.
