It's more than just embroidery, but that's the main thing in our newsletters since that IS what we do :-)

Health Status Update:  Holly pulled a muscle in her right arm while moving things out of our storage unit about 6 weeks ago. Resting the arm didn't help and two weeks ago our doctor suggested she try immobilizing it for a couple weeks.  If that didn't help then he would send her to an orthopedic surgeon.  So... her arm went into a sling.

A few days later she bent over to pick up a towel from the floor and turned to use her "good arm" instead of the injured one.  Twisting while bending over pulled a muscle in her lower back.  So she went to our chiropractor for the back problem.

While she was there, he asked about the arm problem and suggested he try "cold laser therapy".  Since the arm wasn't getting better in a sling and the next step was going to be surgery, Holly said "why not?" and had him do it.  While it's too soon be absolutely certain, the laser did remove the lingering ache and she regained a significant amount of her range of motion within 24 hours. She has had a second treatment now and it is looking promising that she may regain the use of her hand without the grueling process of surgery and therapy.

FYI - she can write and digitize left-handed well enough to get some work done but it is much slower than with her right arm.   I will update you all next Saturday.
