Every year since 2010 our God-daughter performed in The Nutcracker Ballet performed by the Berkshire Ballet Company in Crystal Lake, IL.  We are committed to see her perform so we fly or drive back to our old home area in Chicago just before Christmas to watch and then get out of town, hopefully before we get snowed in until Spring. 

Due to events in Paris and California we just weren't comfortable with the idea of flying this year so we drove up.  While here, we have had a few hours to spare and spent some time with a couple of our oldest friends, the pastor who married us 33 years ago. It's always great to see them and to find out how things are going with them. 

A couple hours from now we will be watching the ballet, catching a late supper and some fast z's before starting our drive home.  No motorhome for this trip, just our van and a book-on-audio.  :-)

Holly has assembled a great team of digitizers to create new designs for our members every week.  Designs are officially "up" now every Saturday morning although they are actually turned on every Friday to be sure everything works right before the weekend starts.
