Holly's New Fabric Storage System...
Holly saw this idea for storing fabric in a file cabinet on Pinterest a few months ago. The person there had used a lateral file cabinet but we already had four regular file cabinets on hand so we added two more matching cabinets and I built this combination cutting table and fabric storage unit for Holly a couple days ago.
There are six 2-drawer cabinets under the tabletop
with three on each end. In the middle is an almost 4-foot long pass-through storage area with two shelves. The whole thing is on locking casters so it can be moved to the end of the room when more floor space is needed.
