Holly's teacher in fifth grade was promoting Darwin's Theory of Evolution as fact, and said that creationism was a fairytale. Holly had been raised as a Christian and objected to the teacher's assertions about evolution.  Holly's argument was "if evolution is a fact, then how do you explain and categorize the penguin?  Is it a bird since it has wings and lays eggs?  Or is it a fish since it swims and doesn't fly?" 

The discussion turned heated when Holly refused to be bullied by the teacher. When Holly said, "Well maybe you evolved from a monkey, but I was created by God" the argument ended with Holly taking a trip to the principal's office.  Her dad came to school to bail her out and reamed out the teacher and the principal and the next day Holly was given a new teacher.  :-)
