I have NEVER gone shopping on Black Friday. I know to some folks it is "sport shopping". To me, no thanks. So when possible I have avoided
going out on Black Friday. But...
For the first time yesterday, I participated in the sales ONLINE.
It started when I was working on some website development and needed a piece of software to do a specific job. I had put off buying it before because I wasn't ready for it yet and why spend the money if I didn't need to? So yesterday I was finally ready to take that next step and went to the
site to buy the software. Holy cow - it was 25% off for Black Friday. I bought it before that went away.
Then when Holly and I were having breakfast she showed me the Black Friday special price on the computer I have been waiting to buy for her. I had planned on getting that in the spring, but yesterday it was 40% off. Wow. That's a lot of money! So I bought that
too.
By then, I could smell the smoke coming from my debit card so I stopped going to any websites! But we did have to make a run to Big Lots and Home Depot to find a stand for our Christmas tree. Well... that $12 stand turned into a lot more than just the stand.
I think I will stay home today and once my newsletter is finished, I'm going to turn off my computer so my
eyes don't get pulled into another bargain I just can't pass up.
